Smart Closet 掌上衣橱

After reading a review in an (older) article for this app, I was so excited to download a super simple cataloguing app that is just a virtual version of my closet. I was so disappointed to find that it’s trying to become an Instagram for outfits. I spend way more than enough time every day struggling not to waste time on social media, and here I’m faced with a homepage that begs for more social attention. GOODBYE.My second enormous frustration with this app is the almost useless search tool. I wanted to have access to merchant pictures of my items, so I could log everything quickly (without having to take photos of everything I own, who has time for that) and to curate a streamlined, visually appealing and accurate virtual closet. I go to search the Victoria’s Secret brand category, stack of VSX sports bras and leggings in hand, and clicking through to Victoria’s Secret -> Activewear yields...three sports bras. That’s what I had to choose from, for a major, mainstream brand. I tried again with an H&M bra and an Old Navy dress; no results even close to the items I wanted to log. I am now resigned to taking pictures of as many things as possible, which will take forever, look messy on the app, and probably never allow me to log the entirety of my closet’s contents.
